• Restaurants you save, follow, or post about
• Connections and followings you create
• Content you post, including reviews and photos
• Event and ticket activity within the app
• Usage data such as pages visited and features used

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and personalise your Chummy experience
• Show you recommendations from people you follow
• Power loyalty programmes and rewards from restaurants
• Send you notifications about activity relevant to you
• Improve the app and understand how it is used

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Social Sign-In

Signing in through Google or Facebook is handled by those providers. We only receive the profile information you authorise at sign-in. We do not post to your social accounts or read your contacts without your explicit permission. Review Google's and Facebook's own privacy policies for details on how they handle your data.

4. What We Share

Your posts, saved places, and profile are visible to your connections and followers based on your privacy settings. We may share data with:

• Restaurants — aggregated loyalty and visit data so they can run their programmes
• Service providers — infrastructure, analytics, and payment processors who help us operate Chummy, under strict confidentiality agreements
• Legal authorities — where required by law or to protect safety

5. Your Controls

You can at any time:

• Edit or delete your profile and posts
• Remove connections and followers
• Turn off push and email notifications in settings
• Request a copy of your data by emailing us
• Delete your account — this permanently removes your profile and content

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how the app is used. We use analytics tools that collect anonymised usage data. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Some anonymised or aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to personal data is limited to team members who need it to operate the service. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure — please use a strong password on your Google or Facebook account.

9. Children

Chummy is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Chummy evolves. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Chummy after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
